Catherine A. Curcio Joins Board of Directors of Third Street Alliance for Women and Children

Allentown, PA (January 10, 2013) – Catherine A. Curcio, an Associate with Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., will serve on both the Development Committee and the Planning Committee of the Third Street Alliance for Women and Children as a member of the Board of Directors.

“I am pleased to be involved with such a wonderful and longstanding organization – one that is a vital part of the community in which I live and work – and to be able to contribute to improving the lives of families,” said Curcio.

The nonprofit agency, located in downtown Easton, operates in a mansion built in 1902 as the private home for the affluent Simon family of the silk mill industry. The organization began in 1909 as a grassroots YWCA, and officially purchased the property in 1930. The Herman Simon House was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, when the agency transitioned to its present name and broadened its services to address the growing issues of homelessness, child care for working families, and the care of older adults.

Curcio focuses her practice on family law and real estate and land use. She counsels clients in all aspects of complex family matters from inception to conclusion, including divorce, custody, support, and adoption, and participates in custody and support conferences, masters and de novo hearings, pre-trial and settlement conferences, and other hearings in Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, and Bucks Counties. In addition to her family law practice, she handles residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale transactions, lease agreements, actions in partition and ejectment, actions to quiet title, and zoning ordinance challenges for public and private clients. She has appeared on behalf of clients in front of local zoning hearing boards and planning commissions.Outside the firm Curcio is actively involved in the American Red Cross for the Greater Lehigh Valley, participating in its Heroes Campaign. She also is a member of the Lafayette College Young Alumni Association and ArtsQuest.
