Norris McLaughlin & Marcus Establishes Matrimonial and Family Law Practice in Pennsylvania

Allentown, PA (March 5, 2012) – Norris McLaughlin & Marcus, P.A., formerly known as Tallman Hudders & Sorrentino, is pleased to announce the establishment of its matrimonial and family law practice in Pennsylvania by welcoming Lauren L. Sorrentino and Catherine A. Curcio.

“The addition of Lauren and Kate to our team will allow us to assist our existing and future clients with their family law needs including divorce, property distribution, alimony, prenuptial and property settlement agreements, child support, and child custody. The addition of the matrimonial and family law practice area will certainly compliment other services that the Firm offers. Our family clients will also benefit from the skills offered by the attorneys in our existing practice areas, such as estate planning, taxation, and business law,” said Matthew R. Sorrentino, Managing Partner of the Pennsylvania office.

Sorrentino focuses her practice on matrimonial and family law including divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, prenuptial and property settlement agreements, child support, child custody, and domestic violence. She is actively involved in the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Family Law Section, and is currently a Council Member of the Section. Sorrentino has published articles on a variety of family law topics in publications such as the Pennsylvania Law Weekly and the Pennsylvania Bar Association Quarterly. She was selected as one of Pennsylvania’s “Lawyers on the Fast Track” by the Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly in 2008, and has been recognized as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” by Philadelphia Magazine in 2008, 2010, and 2011. Sorrentino has also been recognized for her commitment to public service and was a 2007 recipient of the “Pro Bono Award” given by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She earned her J.D. from the Boalt Hall School of Law, University of California at Berkeley in 2002, and her B.A. from Columbia University in 1998.

Curcio focuses her practice on matrimonial and family law as well as real estate and land use. Curcio counsels clients in all aspects of complex family matters from inception to conclusion including divorce, child custody, support, and adoption. She also handles residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale transactions, lease agreements, actions in partition and ejectments, actions to quiet title, and zoning ordinance challenges. Curcio is actively involved in the American Red Cross for the Greater Lehigh Valley. She is also a member of the Lafayette College Young Alumni Association and ArtsQuest. Curcio earned her J.D. from New York Law School in 2006, and her B.A. from Lafayette College in 2003.
